I first met Lucas when he was the student athletic trainer for the Lynchburg Women’s soccer team during my freshman and sophomore years! I first knew Audra when I was a student photographer for the athletic department and I would photograph her pitch for the Softball team! I have known these two separately, I have known them together and I am still happy and grateful that they asked me to venture up to Massachusetts for their destination wedding.
For a year and a half, I knew this weekend was coming and every time I spoke with Audra, I mentioned how quickly it was approaching. After reflecting on it, it was indeed a whirlwind of a weekend and there’s so much that I learned as I experienced some things for the first time as a destination wedding photographer. I feel lucky to have gotten to travel up yonder and spend the weekend with my second shooter Kelsey, Audra and Lucas and their amazing families.
The Biancos and Della Rosas were so fun to spend time with over the course of the weekend, including their six nieces and nephews, who were also in the wedding. This made for one of the cutest and craziest bridal parties I have ever photographed and witnessed, which you can expect to see as you look through some photos below! The first time I saw all of these kids, it was Saturday morning for breakfast and it was like watching six energizer bunnies running around the hotel (haha). I give serious props to all of their parents for wrangling their kids all weekend. Most of Audra and Lucas’ siblings seemed to all live in different states, so when everyone got together, I don’t see how they couldn’t get so excited! There’s so much love amongst these families and you can immediately tell that Audra and Lucas care so much for their families. I loved how they included all of the kids to join in the fun, even though it meant a little more work and craziness at times.
This venue has such a beautiful spread of gardens on the property and after a little mist of rain in the morning, I loved how everything looked so bright and vibrant! One of my favorite spots was where catalpa petals had fallen and they were all over the ground in an area overlooking the river. These petals combined with Audra’s dress and long veil made for some of my favorite wedding images ever!
Audra and Lucas are easy going, relaxed, naturally hilarious, and so ridonculously in love!
Hoping they’re having an amazing time in Italy! Congrats again to these two!
