To start off, I am sharing some ideas of how you can still celebrate your original wedding day if you are having to postpone your wedding…
plan a zoom call with your bridal party or some of your family members
legitimately tie the knot and have the original wedding festivities later on
create a quarantine life video and share it with all of your guests saying how you can’t wait to celebrate with them
stand in your living room and have your unofficial first dance with your fiancé
have a special picnic or dinner
write each other a letter
This just scratches the surface but there are so many ways that you can still celebrate your original date!
This weekend on April 18 is Ed and Stephanie’s original wedding date so I think it is a great time to share their engagement photos and most importantly, celebrate the two of them! One positive note about this whole situation we are all in is that engaged couples who are having to postpone will not have one but two special dates that they will never forget.
I first met these two last August at a Starbucks in Chantilly and we chatted for what felt like 15 minutes but it was well over an hour. It was such an easy conversation and I heard all about their proposal in London, and of course how Ed coordinated and hired a photographer to capture it! I got to see all of the amazing photos and hear from Stephanie how surprised she was. They are fellow soccer fans, incredibly easy going and so easy to talk to!
The three of us met up last fall and were able to take their engagement photos right before Ed had to have ACL surgery! It was a ridonculously beautiful fall evening at Meadowlark Gardens in Vienna and also where their wedding reception will be! I can’t wait to photograph their now beautiful fall wedding this year and finally celebrate with them like they deserve!
